I have been in amateur radio and electronics most of my life starting with obtaining WNØYVA in 1954. My major interests over the years included contesting, DX’ing, building and restoration. Finally got onto the #1 DXCC Honor Roll after only 54 years of effort. I have restored seven KW-1’s – probably the most ‘famous’ Collins transmitter. My company, Advanced Radio Devices, developed the first HF autotune amplifier (ARD-230) in the late-80’s.
